Jesus calls to himself the 12 disciples and after a year and a half or so of our great Lord’s actions speaking louder than words, He sends them out just as He promised to do when He called them out and said in Mark 1:17 “Come, follow me,” “and I will send you out to fish for people.” It is through this portion of scripture set up by Mark through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that the Lord chooses to teach His disciples and in turn teach all who would become disciples for Jesus about His ability to both qualify and authorize His people for extra ordinary service. There are three vital aspects to the Lords qualifying and authorizing that we must learn through Jesus’s instructions that are correlated with His qualifying and authorizing. ​ Before He sends them out in verse seven, He first calls the twelve to Himself with divine purpose and plan utilizing the opportunity to seize the moment to teach two foundational lessons to his disciples and ourselves:​
