The Power Of Influence (Mark 8:27-30)

Mark has brought us to the climactic point of His gospel through the actions of Jesus the Christ that has been speaking louder than words through the many miracles, signs, and wonders executed by the Lord. Like a mountaineer, climbing mount Everest, Marks gospel describes Jesus hiking up a mountain one miracle, one sign, and one wonder at a time in the hopes to influence His followers and the world regarding who He is. From Jesus’s first exorcism in Mark 1:21-28 to the healing of the blind man in Mark 8:22-26, Jesus has been attempting to influence His disciples, followers, and hearers towards his true identity. Now, reaching the climax of His actions He turns to His disciples and askes the most important question He can ever ask His disciples in which He asks us today, “Who do people and you say that I am?”
