His Burial Our Wake Pt.2 (Mark 15:42-47)

When it comes to the accomplishments and finished work of our great Savior, Lord, and Son of God we are all prone to focus on the more prominent acts of the Lord, which is His crucifixion (death) that paid for the penalty and debt of our sin and brings us into His salvation and reconciles all who believe back into an intimate relationship with God the Father. The other prominent act is His resurrection, which is proof of what the Lord has said about Himself is true and that He is the Son of God and the giver of true life. Yet, when Jesus predicted what He was going to allow Himself to go through three times in the synoptic (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) gospels it always came with three main prediction’s that included both the crucifixion and resurrection. But right in the center of both predictions were His burial prediction. Jesus was to die, be buried, and then resurrect (Mark 8:31-33, 9:30-32, and 10:32-34).
