Are You A True Follower of Jesus (Mark 3:7-12)

In Matthew 12:15, Matthew states that Jesus withdrew from the place he was, which was Galilee where Jesus healed the mans shriveled hand in the synagogue on the Sabbath day causing the Pharisees to link up with the Herodians to plot how they might kill Jesus. Jesus may have withdrawn because His time had not yet come to be killed. Nevertheless, he withdrew from that place back to the sea of Galilee with his disciples, and a large crowd from Galilee followed. In these passages Mark describes what it was to follow Jesus through the example Jesus gave as He followed His Father and displayed the kingdom of God to all who came. There are three lessons we can learn from in becoming a true follower of Jesus that is contrasted by three lessons of a consuming follower of Jesus that is a self-serving follower of Jesus which is no true follower at all.
