Calmer of the Storm (Mark 4:35-41)
In this next section, Mark continues in the actions of Jesus that reveals His Person, work, and teachings in a tangible way that we all will be able to feel it before this sermon is done. He is the calmer of the storm, but how do we know who Jesus truly is, ever see His work performed before us, and able to trust His teachings and His word if there is never a storm, we allow Him to calm? There is a storm brewing, and we can all feel it, we can all see it on the news, on social media, in our neighborhoods, feel it in the core of our beings. A storm is coming and no matter how much we attempt to turn a blind eye to it, avoid it, ignore it, or pretend it’s something else it is coming. Some of us may already be in it, some of us may be in the eye of it, and some of us may be coming out of a storm and if we do not get out of the way of Jesus and His word, we will perish! Therefore, we must learn how to allow Jesus to be the calmer of the storm!
