In life we are all driven and relentlessly compelled by someone, something, and even by ourselves. Whether addiction, sin, a career, material blessings, children, a spouse, and even self as we have heard so far today, they will never be a lasting drive for life due to their inconsistencies and inability to fulfill our need and longing for eternal rewards and a drive that goes beyond the arm length and scope of this world and into eternity. As we celebrate and learn the significance and vital need of the resurrection of Christ as the very driving force of life itself, death, and beyond the grave Jesus has succeeded in fulfilling and exampling such drive that should and must be the driving force within our own life that reaches every facet of life, including death itself. ​ Three times in the gospel of Mark, Jesus predicts His life and death and resurrection.
