Hebrews Sermon Series | Perseverance in Christ | Christ Our Pioneer Pt.2 | Hebrew 2:10-18

Pioneer defined in Bible Hub as one who goes into the wilderness, preparing the way for others to follow. Blue Letter Bible defines pioneer from the Greek word archēgos which means prince, captain, or author formulating the definition one that takes the lead in anything and thus affords an example, a predecessor in a matter, pioneer. Merriam-Webster dictionary defines pioneer as a transitive verb as to open or prepare for others to follow.
We live in a time where pioneers are men and women who exalt evil while ignorant and deniers of what is truly good. The world places so called pioneers in front of us from the music industry, Hollywood, politics, and social media platforms who are lovers of self, haters of God, and lovers of money. Today, true pioneers are hard to find. People we may look up to who have paved the way and lived and example a life one can follow that is truly good and God pleasing is left void leaving man bewildered and at a loss of true leadership, heroes, and captains and forerunners we can follow. Humanity is at an ultimate decline reaching for leadership in a post truth era that is bent on relativism and deception fueled by delusions. For this reason, Jesus Christ must be our pioneer or the one we look to as the captain, author, and prince of our lives both daily and future.
