Lesson from A Poor Widow (Mark 12:41-44)

In our society we place much emphasis on what appears to be approved religion through religious acts and deeds. Religion is careful to make great impressions to save face while placing itself in a light of honor, esteem, and glorification to its hearts content while forsaking the bankruptcy of its heart, mind, and soul that man cannot see from the surface, but is laid bare before the eyes of the Lord. False religion has traded a true relationship with God for a superficiality and façade of religiosity. False religion has forsaken pure and unblemished religion that is first formulated within its heart, mind, and soul through a true relationship with God and expressed in outward acts done in the sight of our God and Father rather than the sight of man without regard of recompense from those who can never repay. Through this outward contentment of religiosity and forsaking inward relationship with God, we have allowed ourselves to be contaminated by the secular world with its superficiality and false definition of piety and a religion claiming to be acceptable by God, while in the same breath rejecting the very God and His definition of true religion expressed through a true relationship He paved and sacrificed Himself for all who believe unto Him may have.
