Mark continues to show Jesus and His authority as the Lord of the Sabbath and describes Jesus as the Servant of All who came to describe and define the kingdom of God as a kingdom of Sabbath or true rest found in Jesus Christ that leads to the worship of His name, person, and being as the Lord of the Sabbath. Humanity all has this one thing in common, we all are looking for rest. Not just physical rest, mental rest, emotional rest, but spiritual rest that reaches our soul which in turn brings about transformation and the acceptance of the eternal kingdom of rest found in Jesus that overrules the temporal and momentary rest that this world can never truly give let alone last. Why do many of us only experience a temporal rest that lasts but for a moment and is destroyed the moment lives works come along in the form of trials and tribulations, stress, anxiety, depression, and all that wars against this rest? Jesus gives four things that does not allow true rest to reside within us and through us:​ ​
