One of the greatest challenges we face in our walks with the Lord is the returning to our first love and the rekindling of the fire we once had for Christ Jesus. To keep the affection and passion ever so strong with the Lord in the face of all that is set up for us to fail and snuff out the fire and love from God and for God. Sometimes it can feel like a person drowning in the depths of the worlds overflow of water and coming to the surface grasping for air and trying to grab ahold of anything that may keep us afloat and staying alive and relevant in the Lord as the world continues to push our head underwater. Love or the lack thereof, can feel just like that as we miss and become separated from the one, we so dearly loved or love. If God is love, imagine how He feels just wanting to love us that He is willing to go through great lengths to connect with and have this loving relationship He so craves to have. It is a no wonder He went through such great lengths and sacrifices to have the opportunity for a love relationship with us in which He sent His one and only Son, Jesus to die and rescue us from sin, the very thing that placed the wedge between us and God and the relationship He so desires with us. ​
