What About the Resurrection Pt.2 (Mark 12:18-27)

What about the resurrection is a question that has plagued and even fascinated humanity since the beginning of time. Yet the answer to this question leaves one living with an anchor beyond the grave or leaves one living until the grave. Mark, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit pens this plot to entangle Jesus by the Sadducees, who did not believe in the resurrection. It was still Tuesday of Passion week, and the plans of the Pharisees and religious and political leaders were in full effect. The Pharisees and Herodians plans had faltered miserably, leaving them exposed and entrapped by their own entrapments. The Sadducees tag themselves in as though saying, you guys’ suck, and assuming they have the game winning hit, and approached the Lord Jesus with a scenario that hid their main question which was a question about the resurrection or raising of the dead to life. They had stumped the Pharisees with this same scenario and interpretation of scripture for years and thought they could stump Jesus as well.
