Everything about the salvation of Jesus and the preaching of the good news of the kingdom of God has been turned upside down for the people in Jesus’s days and is still turned upside down for the people of today. Everyone assumes the correct way to come to God, while it was Jesus Himself that gave the only way, the truth, and the life exampled in and through Him and yet people still assume their own way to come to God while missing or creating a whole other god in their image and likeness and give it the name Jesus because they refuse to come correct. Yet, for Jesus, He was making things right side up regardless of if the people accepted it or not. Jesus, in Mark 7:1-23 makes the heart the heart of the matter and exposes our heart and the need to have a new heart with a new mind that helps the new heart, beat after the things of God rather than all that defiles the heart even further.
